So here is the deal, I already did a post on crypto scams and my thoughts on them. Recently I came across an NFT project called world of woman or w.o.w for short. Often times when I see new projects basically anything new within the digital space like blockchains, nft, coins etc etc I just assume it lacks substance. In this digital space people are getting really excited over the technology, but they aren't bringing real value to the space. It takes time and effort to bring real value to any marketplace, a space where ideas, projects, and services are swapped and traded. In other words, its really difficult to build something of real value, something that lasts when set up. I did a little research on w.o.w and based off what I can see it is a legit project. Im still not fully sold because the main thing is im looking for things that have substance, like what did it create, how much money did it donate, how much money did it raise, etc etc. In the digital world, you have a lot of projects being created and its just “artists” selling jpegs, gifs, etc left and right. Not everyone is an artist, so you can’t be fooled by that.
So from what I can see world of women educates people on quite a few things like web3. Web3 is basically an internet that is controlled by its users vs it being just one systematic control over the internet. Basically everyone is pitching in, in new and creative ways. They have a main website and they have a foundation website. They donated over 2 million to causes in partnership with codegreen.earth. I don’t know what the causes are, but, I briefly reviewed the code green website and its ceo Inna Modja is a UNCCD Land Ambassador, U.N. Goodwill Ambassador & Young Global Leader for the World Economic Forum, who has a background as a best-selling musician, film-maker, photographer and entrepreneur. Inna is also one of the leading voices in the Web3 movement - currently co-founder of NFT Factory, and previously as Head of Philanthropy for World of Women. Her credentials are legit, so that lets me know that wow has some substance to it. Reese Witherspoon has also partnered with wow through her company hello sunshine, I did a brief overview of the hello sunshine page and im still kind of confused about what the company’s main goals are but it has potential. Bottom line is, there are legit projects out there, you just need to do your research.
