So today I was driving with my mother and she was being a back seat driver, and I had an ah ha moment! She felt that I was too close to the car in front of us, and she said I was driving a little to fast. It’s funny because in my mind, I was driving fine and my foot is always on the break pedal [ like it should be ] and I know how to drive safely. Actually most people who I drive with think I drive too slow or like an old man. This is her new car she got and it has a big LCD computer dashboard screen [ sorta like the new Tesla vehicles ], and it was her first time letting me drive it so she felt kind of nervous. I could literally see her in the passenger seat kind of cringe up when I got sorta close to a vehicle like I was going to hit the back of their car or something. Then that’s when I had my ah ha moment, but it didn’t just come as thoughts, it came with music as well. The theme was “trust” , a simple 5 letter word that is so overlooked. When your driving in a car as a passenger you need to trust the person in charge or the person driving as they literally have your life in their hands, the song that came to mind was if you had my love by Jennifer Lopez.
The whole song is about trust, and she’s saying what would you do if I gave you my trust etc etc. I can relate this to crypto, because finance and business is all about trust. Well how do we know this? I’ll give you 2 simple examples. When someone is trying to offer you something or sell you something, does it come with a 30 day money back if not satisfied, does it come with a warranty, etc etc. That’s how you know if the person or business you're doing business with can be trusted. On the other hand, if it doesn’t come with either of those it leaves room for shady business practices and distrust. I watch a lot of judge Judy and this is all you see on her court show, a lot of people mad and want their money back because they bought something and it wasn’t what they expected and now want to return it but it’s too late. You see, in those transactions there isn’t any trust, buyer and seller should agree on return policies, etc etc. Anyways this brings me to my second example , I remember I was trading crypto currency and I wanted to register an account on a crypto exchange called kucoin. I heard and read good things about them, I also heard some bad but I was willing to give it a shot. There website is here:
Before I regesitered an account the first thing I looked for was 2 thing. 1) do they have a physical address? 2) do they have a number I can call? I couldn’t find either or, so in this situation there is no trust. There goes that powerful 4 letter word again. The founders of kucoin, just want people to trade millions of dollars and nobody has no way of contacting them expect for by email [ and they’re not located in the USA ]. I don’t think so. Now, you can compare that to coinbase, and it’s a 360 difference.
There website is here:
They have a physical address, and I’ve talked to their staff many times on the phone. So there is trust established there.
Anyways, that was my short little rant about trust, and how important it is in any realationship. Takes a very long time to establish, and only a second to destroy.
