The color green

So today we’re going to talk about green initiatives / green thumb prints or lack thereof. It’s just about common place to see major corporations or foundations to have some sort of movement in making sure that their business practices are environment friendly. But it’s not just major corporations where you see this, you see it at a grass roots level as well. Like for example a lot of grocery stores aren’t giving plastic anymore for bags, instead they give you paper, and that paper has been recycled from waste. Personally how I feel about this, it’s a good thing, but it is kind of annoying when you get home and all your groceries fall through your paper bag lol. But to a more serious note how I REALLY feel about it, we don’t have a choice. It’s more expensive upfront a lot of the times to have a more sustainable product, but like I said we don’t have a choice, I had my heart broken when I seen all the pollution being caused by Nike in Indonesia and how polluted their rivers were. China is another one, it’s so polluted, that a lot of their different cities have a dense smog that covers the atmosphere, all from burning coal. They need it right now, but it’s no excuse for not trying to develop something for the future that will remove this carbon foot print. China has took a number of measures to have a more cleaner country, one I like but sorta sounds like a fantasy is china’s green city. Check it out here:

here a few things I can name that are trying to develop a green thumbprint:

==================================================

1) Grocery store paper bags, eliminating plastic waste

2) Replica meat, by beyond meat company. Not more cattle farming

3) Cricket protein, so no more need for cattle farming

4) Green initiative crypto projects focused on things like bitcoin mining

5) Vertical farming, so less strain on the planet via farming

6) china green city, to try and combat their air pollution problem

7) recycled plastic being used in the fashion industry, combating massive textile waste

8) saf ( sustainable aviation fluid ) being used instead of traditional aviation fluid, which creates massive carbon foot print

9) Prepping the future by educating children about green thumbprint

Actually, what I find most interesting, is how this airline company partnered with sesame street to try and teach children. You can see it in the quick video below. The focus is on saf ( sustainable aviation fluid ), basically making fuel from trash.

So you see, it really is a real phenomena, this whole green movement. And like I said earlier, there really isn’t a choice. When you get a chance check out these movies: 1) earthlings and 2) dominion. They expose what is really going on inside farms world wide, and trust me it is not a pretty site. This is why me personally I am a vegetarian, and I have been one for over a decade now and I’m proud of this fact. Nowadays, vegetarian food, and vegan food has evolved to the point where you can still get the meat taste just without the meat. Oh yea before I forget another good movie is cowspiracy, this documentary focuses more on educating you on why agriculture is bad versus exposing animal cruelty like the two documentaries I posted above.

A lot of this stuff is just common sense, when you have something beautiful like how nature truly is, you don’t want it to be polluted with trash etc etc. What people don’t get is that profits come at a cost, there is no such thing as not having a price to pay due to our outdated ways of doing things. We have to evolve as a human species or mother nature will remove us, plane and simple. Thanks for reading.
